This is a beautiful trail through lush woods along the bay just before the Irving Nature Park. To the point, which is where we turned back, it is 1.8k. But the trail continues to Saint's Rest Beach. I hiked this trail many years ago, but I had forgotten the variety and openness of the woodland. I think this would be a different experience in each season. The woodland part of the trail is very sheltered; you need our bug dope, but once in the open, the Fundy winds can really roar. Altogether delightful, even in the fog.
